What are the hutch floors made from?

Our hutch floors are made of plywood that have been treated with animal safe wood preservative.

On our 5ft and 6ft Chartwell Hutches and 5ft and 6ft Kendal Hutch and Run Combo, the thickness of the ply is 9mm.

On our smaller 4ft hutches, the thickness of the ply is 3mm.

Should I line the Hutch floor with anything?

We would recommend that you use plenty of bedding in your hutch to make it softer for your pets to walk and relax on. You can use any of the products such as Hay and Eco Bedding we supply in our bedding range here.

You can also line the floor with newspaper or a linotype material; which you should be able to get from any hardware or DIY store.

You don't have to use anything other than bedding material but using an extra layer on the floor as well as the right amount of bedding along with regular cleaning will keep your hutch in tip-top condition.
